About LCC
  • Participants are selected each Fall through an application process based upon their leadership experiences, commitment, prior involvement in the community, and their ability to set and achieve high personal goals.
  • Applicants will submit their application and supporting documents before evaluation from the LCC Advisory Committee, comprised of past LCC participants.
  • Applicants must be employees of a Chamber member organization or business.

The mission of Leadership Calhoun County (LCC) is to build a stronger community by developing leaders who effectively serve and unify the Calhoun County Area. The program provides a diverse group of emerging and existing community leaders with opportunities to enhance their community knowledge, civic network and leadership skills.

Leadership Calhoun County is a 10-month program designed to prepare and build upon leadership resources within our entire county. Each class will begin in January and graduate in November from the program.

Goals of LCC

To motivate participants to achieve their leadership potential.

To bring together participants and current leaders to discuss the present and future direction of Calhoun County

To prepare participants as more effective professionals by sharpening their leadership skills

To challenge participants to greater involvement through volunteer roles in the community

To examine programs and agencies that currently operate within Calhoun County

To create the opportunity for participants to come to know, respect and establish a rapport with each other
